Making an ACT Referral

The Autism and Low-Incidence Coaching Team serves school districts in Ohio's Region 10: Montgomery, Miami, Clark, Darke, Greene, and Preble counties.

Referrals include intensive, on-site coaching for classrooms or individual students:
  • Individual Student Referrals: Students with a medical and/or educational diagnosis of autism or other low-incidence disability qualify for an individual student referral. Our team supports the student's educational team by providing evidence-based and best practice recommendations specific to that student's unique needs including but not limited to: communication, sensory, instruction, and/or behavior supports.
  • Classroom Referrals: Our intervention specialists support classrooms with students with autism or low-incidence disabilities through providing evidence-based and best practice recommendations for general classroom needs specific to this population of students including but not limited to: class-wide reinforcement systems, classroom layout, paraprofessional management, schedules, and instructional supports. Please note, that classroom referrals are for global classroom supports, we cannot discuss a specific student without an individual referral.
For more information or to make a referral contact our secretary Mary Fryman at (937) 236-9965 or mary.fryman@mcesc.org. Referrals require approval of a district representative.
